Newborn Nursing
What does a night nurse do for a newborn?
A night nurse takes care of your baby overnight while you sleep: feeds (bringing your baby to you for breastfeeds, or giving expressed milk or formula), nappy changes, settling and soothing, and gently building a sleep routine. In the morning, your nurse tells you how the night went.
What is the difference between a night nurse and a maternity nurse?
A night nurse cares for your newborn overnight so you can rest. A maternity nurse supports both mother and baby, by day, by night or live-in, including help with breastfeeding and your recovery after birth. We provide both.
What is the difference between a newborn nurse and a nanny?
A newborn nurse is a licensed nurse with clinical training (ours hold a nursing degree or diploma and CNA certification, with at least 2 years’ NICU experience): alongside feeds, nappies and settling, they check your baby’s weight, temperature and wellbeing, support breastfeeding, care for the umbilical cord, and look after mum’s recovery after birth, with a doctor involved whenever it’s needed. A nanny helps with everyday childcare, usually without nursing training. We only send licensed nurses, never nannies or babysitters.
How much does a night nurse cost in the UAE?
Our monthly plans are AED 9,000 for a nurse 12 hours a day (day or night), about AED 25 an hour, and AED 12,500 for 24-hour care, about AED 17 an hour. Daily and weekly plans are also available; tell us what you need and we’ll send you a quote.
How soon can a newborn nurse start at our home?
We move as quickly as you need. Book ahead based on your due date so your nurse is chosen and ready, or contact us the day you come home from hospital and we’ll start straight away.
Can we meet the nurse before care starts?
Yes. We send you profiles of nurses who match your needs, you meet the one you choose in a short online interview, then start with a 2-hour trial at home. Book care with that nurse and the trial is free.
What if the nurse isn’t the right fit for our family?
Tell us any time and we’ll arrange a replacement nurse, no questions asked.
Are your maternity and baby nurses qualified?
Yes. Every nurse holds a nursing degree or diploma and CNA certification, has at least 2 years’ NICU and newborn care experience, and meets the relevant licensing and professional requirements.
Can we arrange overnight or live-in care?
Yes. You can choose overnight care so you can rest, daytime support, or live-in care in the early weeks.
Do you care for premature babies and twins?
Yes. Our NICU-experienced nurses care for premature and low-birth-weight babies once they are home from hospital, and for twins and multiples, keeping feeds, sleep and weight checks on track for each baby.
Can a nurse help me recover after a C-section?
Yes. Your nurse helps you move and rest comfortably, finds feeding positions that protect your wound, and cares for your baby while you recover, with a doctor involved whenever it’s needed.
Can I book a night nurse for just one night?
Yes. Our daily plan covers a single 12-hour night, a 12-hour day or a 24-hour shift, ideal for your first nights home or a night of catch-up sleep. Weekly and monthly plans keep the same nurse with you.
Which areas do you cover?
We cover the whole UAE: homes, hotels and serviced apartments in every emirate. Tell us your area when you get in touch.
